Practical policy notice

This page is written as practical marketplace guidance and should be reviewed by Ghana-qualified legal counsel before being treated as final legal advice or a production contract.

1. Definitions

ArteeZan means the marketplace, website, apps, dashboards, support tools, and related services used to connect customers with artisans. Customers are users who request work. Artisans are users who offer skilled services. A job, booking, quote, milestone, review, upload, or message means activity created or managed through the platform.

2. Eligibility and account accuracy

  • - You must provide accurate registration, contact, role, profile, and payment-related information.
  • - You are responsible for keeping your password, device, email account, and phone number secure.
  • - You must not create accounts using false identities, impersonate another person or business, or bypass account restrictions.
  • - ArteeZan may request additional information before enabling sensitive features such as artisan verification, payouts, refunds, or dispute review.

3. Customer responsibilities

  • - Describe work honestly, including location, timing, photos, materials, budget, urgency, and access constraints.
  • - Review artisan profiles, verification signals, quotes, messages, and ratings before confirming work.
  • - Confirm scope, price, schedule, materials, safety requirements, and any callout fees before work starts.
  • - Pay confirmed amounts on time and keep booking-related communication inside ArteeZan when payment protection or dispute support matters.

4. Artisan responsibilities

  • - Keep your profile, skills, business name, service areas, availability, pricing guidance, and verification information accurate.
  • - Send quotes that reflect the job details you have reviewed, and explain assumptions, exclusions, material costs, and timing clearly.
  • - Deliver agreed work professionally, communicate delays early, and document scope changes before charging for them.
  • - Do not claim certifications, insurance, licenses, background checks, or experience that you cannot support if requested.

5. Quotes, bookings, and scope changes

Quotes are based on the information available at the time they are sent. A quote may change if the customer changes the scope, if site conditions differ from the description, if materials are unavailable, or if urgent work requires additional labor. Material changes should be confirmed in ArteeZan messages or booking records before work continues.

6. Payments, escrow, milestones, and fees

  • - ArteeZan may support direct booking payments, deposits, escrow-style holds, milestone releases, refunds, and payout workflows.
  • - Any visible platform fees, payment processing costs, deposit requirements, or payout deductions should be reviewed before confirming a booking.
  • - Funds may be held until completion, milestone approval, cancellation review, refund review, or dispute resolution.
  • - Artisans are responsible for any taxes, business registrations, permits, or statutory obligations that apply to their services.

7. Cancellations, no-shows, and refunds

Cancellation and refund outcomes depend on booking stage, payment status, whether work has started, whether materials were purchased, user communication, and any evidence submitted. If an artisan or customer fails to attend, support may review messages, timestamps, location context, and payment records before taking action.

8. Disputes and support review

  • - Users should first try to resolve job issues through clear, respectful in-platform communication.
  • - If a dispute is escalated, ArteeZan may review booking records, messages, photos, files, payment status, profile data, and support notes.
  • - ArteeZan may request more evidence, pause payout, recommend a refund, release funds, restrict accounts, or close a dispute where evidence is insufficient.
  • - Dispute support is not a substitute for court, regulatory, police, insurance, or professional safety processes.

9. Reviews, ratings, and marketplace content

Reviews must be based on real marketplace experiences and should not include threats, private information, hate speech, fake claims, or paid manipulation. Users grant ArteeZan permission to host, display, moderate, and remove marketplace content such as profiles, work photos, job descriptions, messages, and reviews where needed to operate the service.

10. Verification and trust signals

Verification means a user has completed certain ArteeZan checks. It does not guarantee workmanship, availability, insurance, licensing, safety, or future performance. Customers should still review the artisan profile and confirm scope before hiring.

11. Prohibited conduct

  • - Fraud, impersonation, fake reviews, harassment, discrimination, threats, unsafe conduct, or illegal work.
  • - Moving confirmed bookings, protected payments, or dispute evidence outside ArteeZan to avoid platform rules.
  • - Uploading harmful files, infringing content, misleading photos, private documents without consent, or content that violates another person's rights.
  • - Scraping, reverse engineering, interfering with security, abusing promotions, or attempting unauthorized access.

12. Suspension, termination, and changes

ArteeZan may limit, suspend, or remove accounts, listings, payouts, content, or access where users break these terms, create risk, fail verification, misuse payments, or harm marketplace trust. The service and these terms may change as features, laws, and operating requirements evolve.

13. Liability, governing law, and contact

ArteeZan helps coordinate marketplace activity but does not replace each user's responsibility to verify scope, safety, pricing, suitability, and legal obligations. These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of Ghana where applicable. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
